Veridex, LLC announced today that the technology used in the CellSearch® System to measure circulating tumor cells (CTCs) was ranked as the top medical innovation for 2009 by the Cleveland Clinic, a leading multispecialty academic medical center. The ranking is based on technologies likely to have a significant impact on health care next year.

A company called EyeCops makes a kid's version of night vision goggles Eyeclops Amazon's price is about $70. There are two main drawbacks: they're monocular (right eye) and the seeing distance isn't that great (they claim "up to 50 ft", but that may be an upper limit). Two simple fixes: 1. Buy 2 and put one eyepiece on the other. 2. Add more IR LEDs for more range. The Amazon commenters say they're great for hunting rats in the barn at night. Bushnell makes a binocular system, only $570 on Amazon. Its range is arount 300 ft. |
